Bancroft Family Concerts series opens with a brass fanfare and celebration.
November 22, 2008 – Handel’s Saul
Experience highlights from Handel’s setting of the biblical story
of Saul and David. Graeme Jenkins, Music Director of The Dallas Opera,
will conduct University of North Texas faculty and students.
January 24, 2009 – Exploring a Masterpiece
Schubert’s Trout Quintet – Commentary with vocal and instrumental
performances give insight into this jewel of the chamber music literature.
February 28, 2009 – Tesoro Trio
Enjoy the Dallas debut of the Tesoro Trio with pianist Yurie Iwasaki,
violinist Maria Schleuning and cellist Jolyon Pegis.
March 28, 2009 – Fifty Strings and Twenty Fingers
Fort Worth Symphony’s Concertmaster Michael Shih and harpist Naoko
Nakamura present a program for violin and harp including Saint Saëns’
Fantaisie.
April 11, 2009 – D’Drum
D’Drum brings the music of the world to Dallas in a performance
of Middle Eastern rhythms and melodies.
May 30, 2009 – Charles Barr Memorial Concert
