DALLAS – Zachary Sherburn, a native of Little Elm, TX, joins Fine Arts Chamber Players (FACP) for an eight-week summer internship as part of the ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program. With a background in music performance and education, Zachary brings an interest in behind-the-scenes concert production as well as nonprofit administration. He is a junior music major at Southern Methodist University. Zachary will help FACP with office administration marketing, graphic design, and concert production serving as the Basically Beethoven Festival Assistant Director. “I am looking forward to interacting with talented musicians and meeting such a diverse audience”, he says, adding, “It’s exciting to observe the entire spectrum of listeners. I can’t wait to witness the knowledgeable music enthusiasts and fresh, eager ears come together to appreciate the great programs planned for this season.”

ExxonMobil sponsors the Community Summer Jobs Program, which provides college undergraduates paid summer internships with North Texas nonprofits. The program provides much-needed assistance to nonprofit agencies while giving students valuable work experience and an opportunity to make a significant impact in the community.

For over 34 years, FACP has presented free classical music programs for the enrichment of North Texas area residents. In addition to the free Basically Beethoven Festival Sunday afternoons in July, FACP presents the free, monthly Bancroft Family Concerts October through May at the Dallas Museum of Art. Each year, FACP’s educational outreach programs, Dream Collectors, Music A – Z and Music Residencies, provide over 500 free educational classes and performances in area public schools. Since its inception in 1981, FACP has served over 210,000 children and performed for over 530,000 residents of North Texas.
